Topic 2.1-Sharing Files

Sharing Files
Google users have the ability to share their files with other users who have a Google/Gmail account. They are able to give permission to view, edit, or make comments on a Google file. It is important that the creator is intentional with what action they would like their collaborators to have accessibility to.

Edit
Collaborators are given permission to edit the file that was share with them. This allows everyone the accessibility to work on the document at the same time. Users are able determine which users made edits by “Version History.” Version History will determine what users made edits within the document and where.
Comment
When given the permission to comment on the creators work, users are able to view the file and make comments throughout without being able to change the content of the document directly.
